THE WOOD

Every Tanglewood guitar begins its journey with meticulously chosen materials sourced from their country of origin. These materials undergo a careful process of selection, cutting, kiln drying, and, crucially, proper storage prior to production.

At the core of each Tanglewood guitar lies its top, crafted from the finest grade Cedar. This Cedar is distinguished by its tight grain, longitudinal rigidity, and lateral flexibility. When combined with Tanglewood's distinctive bracing pattern, it forms the essence of the Tanglewood sound – a timbre that mellows and matures with age.

The Mahogany back and sides of every Tanglewood guitar are meticulously quarter-sawn in the traditional manner.
